It's time for a new XCO World Cup campaign for Team Bianchi Countervail. After the brilliant performances of the early eason, Nadir Colledani, Stephane Tempier and Chiara Teocchi are ready to take in the World Cup's opener in Albstadt (Germany) from Friday to Sunday, May 17th-19th.
Colledani and Tempier will start the “dance” in the Men's Short Track Race to be held on May 17th at 6.15 pm CET. Teocchi will make her debut in Women's Elite series in the race scheduled on May 19th at 11.00 am CET, whilst Tempier and Colledani will come back to competition in the Men's Elite race at 2.35 pm CET.
Coming off one of the best early-season stretches in his career, Stephane Tempier starts another World Cup charge in Albstadt, where he got his best World Cup placement in 2018 by ending 2nd behind Nino Schurter and in front of Mathieu Van Der Poel, arguably two of his strongest rivals once again in Germany. With two HC wins already under his belt (Haiming and Nals) as well as the Internazionali d’Italia Series overall lead, Tempier is motivated as ever to claim the elusive first World Cup victory, after being one of the most consistent performers in the last two season (including a second place in the overall classification in 2017).
From their sides, Nadir Colledani and Chiara Teocchi - making her World Cup debut among Elite Women - also travel to Germany on high spirits, coming off several solid outings in recent weeks, with Colledani’s second place in San Marino behind European Champion Lars Forster and ahead of World Champion Nino Schurter as the highlight.
"Albstadt and Nove Mesto's races open the XCO World Cup programme and round-out the early season campaign. We start this new experience with high spirits: Stephane Tempier claimed important wins so far, Nadir Colledani strongly goes on improving himself, whilst Chiara Teocchi is getting back in a good shape after a forced stop. It's both difficult and exciting to challenge with the World's best bikers: we'll try to play our cards to the fullest, to chase the best possibile result" Team Bianchi Countervail's Manager Massimo Ghirotto explains.
The Team Bianchi Countervail is equipped with the following models:
