Teocchi runner-up in Lanzarote MTB Race opener

The Italian finished behind Pintaric in the 42-km short course race. Colledani fifth among Men

Chiara Teocchi broke into the 2019 MTB season with a podium display, placing second in 4 Stage MTB Race Lanzarote's opener in Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Spain) on Saturday, January 26th. Preceded by Slovenian Blaza Pintaric, Team Bianchi Countervail's 22-year-old Italian élite covered the 42-km course in 1:43:46, outsprinting Luxembourger Fabienne Schaus.
Teocchi's teammate Nadir Colledani finished fifth in a hard-fought Men's race, closing in the leading group edged by Pole Bartlomiej Wawak in 1:26:10.
The 4 Stage MTB Race Lanzarote will continue on Sunday, January 27th (start at 9.00) with a 60-km long race, and then with a 21 km ITT starting (January 28th at 9.00) and 81 km XL race moving from Club La Santa's stadium at the same time, next Tuesday.
