Less than two weeks after CX National Championships’ podium displays, Team Bianchi Countervail's Italian riders are warming up for their debut in the 2019 MTB season. Nadir Colledani and Chiara Teocchi will take in Club La Santa 4 Stage MTB in Lanzarote, Canary Islands (Spain), from Saturday to Tuesday, January 26th-29th.
The Spanish race consists of four stages: a 42 km short race to be held in January 26th (start at 10.30 am), a 60 km long race the day after (start at 9.00), a 21 km ITT starting on January 28th at 9.00 and finally an 81 km XL race moving from Club La Santa's stadium at the same time, next Tuesday.
"Our season's premiere will be unusual. After training on speed with the cyclocross, we'll focus on endurace in a warm location like Lanzarote. It will be a useful preparation, and this race can also give us important UCI points: the 2020 Olympics are approaching and we know we have to work hard, right now, to target this goal" Team Bianchi Countervail's Manager Massimo Ghirotto stated.
The Team Bianchi Countervail is equipped with the following models:
  • Methanol CV, the first ever mountain bike frame enhanced with the innovative and exclusive Bianchi CV System powered by Countervail, assuring a total “After-Shock Control” by eliminating vibrations that pass through the suspension after impact and from trail buzz
  • Methanol 29 FS, full-suspension model with a racing geometry
  • Zolder Pro disc, developed to obtain the best performance in specific cyclo-cross conditions, combining lightweight and resistance
