The Team Bianchi Countervail rider grazed his third seasonal CX win. Teocchi still affected by the consequences of Saturday’s crash
Bianchi + Team MTB + Product
Team Bianchi Countervail’s Nadir Colledani went close to his third seasonal CX success, riding Zolder Pro Disc to second at the 14th Trofeo Città di Gorizia, on the course in Gorizia’s Parco Piuma (Italy). Colledani covered eight laps in 1h01:45, with a 8-second gap from winner Gioele Bertolini and a 32-second advantage on Cristian Cominelli.
“I’m really satisfied with my performance and result. Today I felt better than in Faè and I managed to remain with Bertolini for more than half race. It was not easy at all, and it wasn’t easy for him to distance me. I’m grateful to my team and I can say I’m happy” Colledani explains. Twenty-four hours earlier, the Italian had been a brilliant fourth at Ciclocross Internazionale del Ponte in Faè di Oderzo.
The consequences of the crash in the first lap of Faè di Oderzo’s race (where she was tenth), affected Chiara Teocchi’s performance in Gorizia. The former Women’s Under 23 European champion was forced to withdrawal due to pain in her right wrist and hip.
