Stephane Tempier (Team Bianchi Countervail) finished 11th in UCI MTB World Champioships Elite Men’s XCO race in Lenzerheide (Switzerland) on Saturday, September 8th. The 32-year-old French rider from Gap covered the eight-lap race in 1:32:57, three minutes and 36 seconds slower than the winner, Swiss Nino Schurter.
"It was a tough and fast race. I was in good shape and I think I delivered a good performance, with no mistakes, even if my pace wasn’t fast enough to fight for the podium", Tempier commented.
In the same race, Nadir Colledani and Marco Aurelio Fontana placed 54th and 55th respectively, whilst Chiara Teocchi had completed the Under 23 Women’s race in 14th position on Friday, September 7th.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and the Methanol 29.1 Full Suspension.
