After the XCO European Championships’ bittersweet challenges, Team Bianchi Countervail is ready to tackle the UCI MTB World Cup again. Elites Nadir Colledani, Marco Aurelio Fontana and Stephane Tempier will ride their Methanol 29.1 FS in Men's XCC short track and XCO races, whilst Chiara Teocchi is expected on Women's Under 23 race starting line, throughout a long mountain bike week-end from Friday August 10th to Sunday August 12th.
Men's XCC Short Track race will be held on August 10th at 6.30 pm EDT, the XCO race at 2.50 pm EDT. Team Bianchi Countervail's riders aims to improve the results scored at Euro Champs where Tempier was sixth, Fontana eighth whilst Colledani finished far from the Top 10. Tempier's season best at World Cup was the runner-up spot claimed in Albstadt, followed by the seventh place in Val di Sole, where Colledani was 16th. Fontana placed 13th in Albstadt, but its seasonal top result was the sixth position in Nove Mesto na Morave (Czech Republic) in the XCC short track.
Chiara Teocchi will ride her Methanol CV in Women's Under 23 race on August 12th at 8.30 am. Teocchi's best result at 2018 World Cup is 7th in Stellenbosch. The young Italian grazed the Top 10 in Vallnord (11th) and Nove Mesto (12th) then.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension). The Junior Team is equipped with Methanol 29 SX model.
