Three days after the gold medal and the continental title in the Team Relay, Team Bianchi Countervail's Chiara Teocchi placed fifth in MTB European Championships Women's Under 23 XCO race in Stattegg Lasserhof (Austria) on Sunday, July 29th. The Italian completed the race with Methanol CV in 1:27:05, with a 3:34 gap from winner Sina Frei.
"I am coming from a difficult period, so I think this fifth position can be welcomed as a good display. My start wasn't good, my legs were heavy, but then I got into the swing of the race clocking the same times as the top rivals: I was the fastest in the fourth lap. Considering my performance and my personal moment, I can say I deserve a C-plus" Teocchi comments.
Twenty-four hours earlier, on Saturday July 28th, Nadir Colledani and his fellow contryman Diego Carnielutti topped the Pedalonga Marathon with start and finish in Comelico Superiore (Northern Italy). The race was held on a 55 km course with a 2.500-meter elevation.
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and the Methanol 29.1 Full Suspension.
