Team Bianchi Countervail’s Chiara Teocchi celebrated her first MTB seasonal win in Lugagnano Val d’Arda (Italy) on Saturday, May 5th. The Italian Woman Under 23 athlete rode her Methanol CV to top the Scott Valdarda Bike, Bresciacup 2018 round-3, with a 3-second advantage on élite Eva Lechner and 5:48 on under 23 Francesca Saccu.
“I’m really happy, I didn’t expect to feel in such a good shape after a strong two-week training period. Without the most technical descents the race was really demanding, with a lot of ascents, it was like a uphill TT. Now I’ll start on focusing on next World Cup rounds” Teocchi commented.
On the same day, Teocchi's teammate Marco Aurelio Fontana placed tenth in Rye Mountain Bike Festival's round-2 a short circuit race (XCC) with time bonus every lap and at the finish. The XCO race to be held tomorrow, May 6th, will complete the Norwegian event's schedule.
Tomorrow, Stephane Tempier will tackle the  Coupe de France VTT round 3 in Hussel (France), whilst Nadir Colledani will compete at the Grazer Bike Opening Stattegg in Stattegg (Austria).
Bianchi supplies the team with two high end carbon models with racing geometry: the revolutionary Methanol CV and Methanol 29.1 FS (full suspension). The Junior Team is equipped with Methanol 29 SX model.
